Network Share Management
The primary purpose of network share is file-sharing. Under standard operation environment,
you can create different network shares for various types of file or provide different file
access rights to users or user groups. Once you have initialized the SATA disk, several default
network shares will be created. You can manage the network shares in the following ways:

Once the share folder is created, you can start assigning access rights to users or user groups.
Full Access
Unlimited access allows the user to read, write or remove any files or folders on the network share.
Read Only
Read files or folders only on the network share but denies functions to write, create or delete.
Deny Access
Denies all access to files and folders on the network share. |
| Delete |
Remove a network share. All online users will be disconnected, but your stored data will not be lost. |
Before you click Property, Access Control, or Delete, please first select a network share
from the left list.

| Network Share Name |
Network share name is case-insensitive and must not exceed 32 characters. It may not
contain letters like the characters listed below:
" + = / \ : | * ? < > ; [ ] % , `

| Path |
All data is stored under the assigned path of the SATA disk. |
| Specify path automatically |
Allows the system to automatically create a new path and store data on the SATA disk. |
| Enter path manually |
Enter the blank location to store data on the right side. You can click the [Browse...]
button to view detailed path of the SATA disk. The path that is manually assigned cannot
exceed 256 characters and may not contain the characters listed below:

| Comment |
The comment allows a brief description of the network share to help user identify
the purpose of the network share in the network neighborhood window. The description
cannot exceed 128 characters. |
| Grant full access right for everyone |
If you choose this selection, and click the [OK] button to successfully create network share,
all active users have unlimited access rights to save or read data. |
| Grant read access right for guest |
If you choose this selection, and click the [OK]button to successfully create new network share,
the guest can access the network share to read file only. |
| Continue to set access right for this network share |
Select this option and click the [OK] button to create a new network share, you will enter access
control screen as the next step to specify the access rights of the network share to assigned users or user groups. |
If you want to create a new network share please select from the above items and click the [OK]
button. Otherwise, click the [Cancel] button to return to the previous page.

If you wish to change the network share's property, please make your selection from the choices above and click
the [OK] button, otherwise click the [Cancel] button to return to previous page.
Network Share · Access Control
There are two lists on this page. The right list displays all users and user groups without access authorization,
and the left list displays all users and user groups with access authorization.

and then click this button.
To select multiple users / user groups, please hold the Ctrl key in Windows or the Command key under Mac OS.

If you wish to remove access rights to users / user groups, check one or more users / user groups in the left list,
and then click this button.
To select multiple users / user groups, please hold the Ctrl key in Windows or the Command key under Mac OS. |
| Permission |
Full Access
Access network share, write, create or delete files and folders.
Read Only
Access network share file, but no authorization to write, create or delete files and folders.
Deny Access
Deny access to network share. |
| Guest Access Right |
When someone uses a non-registered user name to login, the system will recognize this user as guest.
Please specify the access right of unregistered guest user for this share here. |
Note: To change user / user groups access rights please refer to the above description by removing the current
settings and then adding them once more.

Network Share · Delete
You can decide here whether or not to delete a share folder. In the process of deletion, all active users will be disconnected.
If you wish to delete the network share, please click the [OK] button. Otherwise, click the [Cancel] button
to return to the previous page.
