The left list displays all current registered users on the system. Please choose a user from the left list before
clicking Change Password, Create Private Network Share, Assign User Groups,
Quota Settings and Delete.
Users · Create

User name is case-insensitive and must not exceed 32 characters. It may not contain any of the characters below:
" / \ [ ] : ; | = , + * ? < > % ` or start from -, #, @. |
| Password |
Password must not exceed 16 characters. Due to security issues, the password should be at least 6 characters.
Please avoid using codes that are easily deciphered. |

Please re-enter password. |
| Continue to set the user groups to which this user belongs |
If you check this selection, you will be directed to the Assign User Groups page automatically after the user group
has been created successfully. |
Otherwise, click the [Cancel] button to return to previous page.

Please enter the information in the column on the right side. You can click [Browse...] button to view a detailed
path of the SATA disk. Manually-assigned path names may not exceed 256 characters or contain any of the characters listed below:

| Comment |
The comment is a brief description of the share folder to help user identify the purpose of the share folder
in network neighborhood window. The comment may not exceed 128 characters. |
If you wish to create a private network share please make your selection from the above list and click the [Apply] button.

Users · Assign User Groups
There are two lists on the screen. The left list displays all user groups that this user belongs to, and
the right list displays all the other user groups.

To select multiple user groups, please hold the Ctrl key in Windows or the Command key under Mac OS. |

Choose one or more user groups from the left list. Click this button to remove the user group(s) from the user.
To select multiple user groups, please hold the Ctrl key in Windows or the Command key under Mac OS. |
Click the [Close] button to return to the previous page.
Users · Quota Settings
Set user's quota limit.

| Set quota size on the SATA disk |
This setting will only appear when system quota is enabled. You may change a user's quota as necessary.
The setting of the quota size must be greater than 0 but may not exceed 2,000,000. In addition, you
can choose 'No limit' if you don't want to set the quota limit for this user. |
If system quota is not enabled please click the [OK] button to return to previous page.
If system quota is enabled and you wish to change a user's quota, please enter the information in the above field;
and click the [OK] button. Otherwise, click the [Cancel] button to return to previous page.
Users · Delete
If you wish to delete the user click [OK] or click [Cancel] to return to the previous page.
User Management · User Groups
To ease the management of security control, you can create a user group. A user group is a collection of users with the same
access rights to the files or folders. You can manage user groups with the following options:

Add a new user group. |
| Create Private Network Share |
Create a dedicated network share for a user group. Only the users belonging to this
user group can access this network share. When the SATA disk is not ready, you cannot create network share. |
| Assign Users |
Specify users for a user group. Usually, users with the same properties are assigned
to the same group. A user can belong to many user groups simultaneously. |
| Delete |
Delete a user group. This will also remove all its access authorization settings for network
shares. |
The left list displays all the user groups in the system. Please first select a user group from the left list before
you click Create Private Network Share, Assign Users or Delete.

After the user group has been created successfully, it will automatically go to the Assign Users
page to let you continue specifying users for this user group. |
If you want to create a new user group, please fill in the above fields and click the [OK] button.

The maximum characters for a network share name are 32. It is case-insensitive and cannot contain characters listed below:

| Path |
All data on the network share is stored according to the path under the SATA disk. |
| Specify path automatically |
Allow the system to automatically create a new path on the SATA disk to store the data on the network share. |
| Enter path manually |
Please assign a specific path. You can also click the [Browse] button to view more detailed list of paths on
the SATA disk.
The path you assign cannot exceed 256 characters and cannot contain letters listed below:

User Groups · Assign Users
The left list displays all users who belong to the selected user group, and the right list displays all users who do not.
You may select actions below to manage the user group.

After you have finished, please click the [Close] button and go back to the last page.
User Groups · Delete
If you really want to delete this user group, please click the [OK] button. Otherwise, click the [Cancel] button.
User Management · Quota
Quota allows you to specify each user's limits of disk space.

| Enable quota for all users |
Quota is disabled by default. You may activate this function to effectively manage or allocate disk space for each user. |
| Quota size on the SATA disk |
Set quota size for each user's access authorization to the SATA disk. User is denied access to create new files
or directories once the quota size is exceeded. This value must be greater than 0 and cannot exceed 2,000,000. |
Note: You may click the [Show Quotas] button to display all users' quota status for the SATA disk.
If you wish to enable or disable quota, please enter the above fields and click the [OK] button.
