Alert Notification
Configure administrator's e-mail address and SMTP server IP address for alert notification.
The administrator will be informed by e-mail of any warning or malfunction.

| E-mail (SMTP) server IP address |
Enter your SMTP server IP address. If you do not know the IP address, please contact your network administrator or ISP vendor. |
| Enable SMTP Authentication |
When SMTP authentication is enabled, the server will acquire the authentication of SMTP server before sending alert emails. The alert email will not be sent if authentication fails. |
| User Name |
Enter the user name of SMTP server. |
| Password |
Enter the password of SMTP server. |
| E-mail address 1 |
The first e-mail address you want the system to send the alert e-mail to. |
| E-mail address 2 |
The second e-mail address you want the system to send the alert e-mail to. |
| Send a test E-mail |
System will send a test e-mail to the address specified above. |
To confirm, please click the [Apply] button.
Restart / Shutdown
Please select the action you want to perform. All users will be disconnected after you restart or shutdown the system.
Hardware Settings
The following hardware functions can be enabled or disabled:
1. Enable configuration reset switch
Depress and hold on the configuration reset switch for 5 seconds
to reset the administrator password and network settings to factory default.
2. Enable hard disk standby mode
Hard disk will go to standby mode if there is no access within the specified period.
3. Enable light signal alert when the free size of SATA disk is less then the value
The STATUS indicator on the panel will blink red and green when this function is enabled and the free space of the SATA disk is less than the value. The range of the value is 1-51200 MB.
4. Auto power on when power resumes after power loss
When this function is enabled, the system will automatically turn on when AC power resumes after improper shutdown (i.e. AC power failure).
To confirm, please click the [Apply] button.
System Update
Before performing system software update, please make sure the software that you are
going to update is the correct version and read through the manual carefully. It is
wise to back up all existing data on the system prior to the system update. Current
settings will not change while performing system software update.
You can see the current version of the system software. If you want to update the
system, please first click the [Browse...] button to specify the new image
file then click the [Update System] button (the system will ask you to restart
if updating succeeds).
Change Logo
If you want to, you can insert a picture on the upper right corner of the home page. To activate this function, please
choose one of the current images or upload your own picture.
Prior to uploading the logo images, please ensure that the size of the logo is no more than 20 k; otherwise it can not be
uploaded. To upload a picture, click the "Browse" button and locate the desired image. After locating your preferred image,
confirm by clicking the "Upload" button.
Once the image has loaded, it will appear on the right side of upload image box. From the pull down menu entitled
"To be replaced to", you can select the present image to be replaced by the new image. Click the "Replace" button
to proceed with image replacement. You may directly select the uploaded image from the pull down menu entitled
"To be displayed" to select the newly updated image as the home page logo.
Note: Please refresh or restart your browser to display the new image logo on the home page.
To proceed with the changes, click the [Apply] button.
Remote Replication
When you want to replicate the local files to the remote folder on another server, the remote replication function allows you to perform this job with ease. You can perform immediate replication job or schedule a replication job to be executed at the specified time periodically. In order to reduce the network bandwidth usage as well as the time consumed, the files will be compressed before transferring over the network.
To add a remote replication job, please click the [NEW] button.
To remove a remote replication job, please first select the job you want to remove and then click the [Delete] button.
To edit a remote replication job, please first select the job you want to edit and then click the [Edit] button.
Add a remote replication job
Please refer the following fields and descriptions to add a new remote replication job:

Perform the file compression before the replication. |
| Stop network file services while replicating |
To avoid the version inconsistency between the source files during replicating, please select this option. All network file services provided by the local server will be stopped temporarily until the replication job complete. |
| Perform incremental replication |
To save the time consumed to replicate files over the network, please select this option. Only the new or changed files will be replicated. |
| Delete extra files on remote destination |
To make the contents of the remote destination identical to the local source folder, please select this option. In addition to replicating files, all extra files in the destination folder will be removed. |
After completing the settings, please click the [OK] button to add a new remote replication job or click the [Cancel] button to discard the changes.
Note: Prior to use this function, please check the following settings on the remote server:
1. Microsoft Networking Service has been activated.
2. The specified destination network share and directory has been created.
3. The entered user name and password is valid with full access right to the specified destination folder.
Edit a remote replication job
Please refer the following fields and descriptions to modify the settings of the selected remote replication job:

Backup / Restore / Reset Settings
To restore a backup settings file, click Browse to select the file and click Restore.
To backup the settings, click Backup.
To reset the settings to factory default, Reset.
