This page automatically loads if this is your first time entering the administration web page. Quick configuration
will take between 3 and 10 minutes to complete, depending on the level of configuration required.

Quick Configuration · Step 1
Please set the basic information about this server as the first step.

| Server Name |
You must assign a unique name for your server for the ease of identification within the local network. The server name
can accommodate up to 14 characters, which can be any combination of alphabetical letters (A-Z or a-z), numbers (0-9) and
hyphens (-). The server will not accept spaces, periods (.), or a name with just numbers. |

Please change the administrator's password in this step.

Password is case-sensitive and must not exceed 16 characters. Due to security issues, the password should be
at least 6 characters. Try to avoid using codes that are easily deciphered. |

You are still using the old password. If this is your first time using Quick Configuration,
it is suggested that you change the administrator's password for better security. |

Please adjust the time settings of your server here.

If you want to change the date and time of the server, please select this option
and enter the date and time you want in the following fields. |

The range of valid year is from 1900 to 2038. The valid date range is from
1 to 31. Please also select the month from the list. |
| Time |
The range of valid hour is from 0 to 12. The range of valid minute and second
is from 0 to 59. Please also select AM or PM from the list. |
| Synchronize with an Internet time server automatically |
To calibrate the date and time automatically by NTP server, select this option and enter the IP address and time interval NTP server. |
| Server |
To perform time synchronization, enter the IP address of NTP server. |
| Test |
To test the connection status between the system and specified NTP server, click the Test button. |
| Status |
The connection status (Success or Failure) between the system and specified NTP server. |
Note: Due to the system limitation, the maximum date and time is 2038/01/19 AM 3:14:7.
Do not set server's date and time over this value.

Please select the filename encoding to be used for file names here.

The default filename encoding this server uses is Unicode, which works well with Unicode supported O.S. such as Windows 2000/XP and MAC OS X.
If you are using non-Unicode supported O.S., like Windows 95/98/ME, please select the same language of your O.S. for filename encoding. Since Unicode
is not supported by most FTP software, please select the language that your FTP client supports for proper display of file names on the server. If the filename
encoding is not properly selected, the following problems may occur:
1. Unable to create files or directories with special wording.
2. Unable to display file names or folder names with special wording.

In this step, you need to configure the TCP/IP setting of the network interface for this server.

Quick Configuration · Step 6

Choose [Initialize the hard disk now] to initialize the SATA disk now, or choose [Do not initialize the hard disk] to initialize later. |
When you have selected the option, click the [Next] button to proceed
to the next step or click the [Back] button to return to the previous step.
Quick Configuration · Finish
If you have modified any configuration in previous steps, the [Finish] button will appear. If you have not made any changes,
the [Close] button will appear.
To start initialization, please click the [Finish] button. To change the settings,
click the [Back] button to return to the previous step.
When the initialization is done or if you have not made any changes, click the [Close] button to finish Quick
Configuration. If you have modified the IP address, you must to link to the new IP address before using this
server.
Ask to Restart
The first time the SATA disk has been initialized, please restart the system for optimized performance.
You can choose to restart the system right now or to restart it later by yourself.
If you want to restart the system immediately, please click the [Yes, restart the system now] button, otherwise
click the [No, I will restart it later] button.
