MIPS "C" Compilers

You will need a C compiler that generates MIPS code. This is used to compile the modules in the lib, mon, and pmon directories. LSI currently supports the following toolsets.

Algorithmics
Algorithmics sells (among other things) a MIPS cross compiler package (based on the GNU compiler) and evaluation boards for MIPS CPUs.

Cygnus Solutions
Cygnus Solutions sells support for the GNU compiler package. Their compiler does support the MIPS16 instruction set.

BSO/Tasking
BSO/Tasking sells (among other things) a cross compiler for MIPS CPUs. They also sell a GUI debugger (Crossview) that can interface directly with a serialIce-1 kernel. Without the need for the SerialICE Controller board.

Embedded Performance
Embedded Performance sells (among other things) a cross compiler for MIPS CPUs.

Green Hills Software
Green Hills sells (among other things) a cross compiler for MIPS CPUs. Their compiler does support the MIPS16 instruction set. They also sell a GUI debugger (Multi) that can interface directly with a serialIce-1 kernel, without the need for the SerialICE Controller board.
