Operation Mode
  • AP mode - operate as a normal Access Point
  • Bridge - Point to Point - Bridge to a single AP. You must provide the MAC address of the other AP in the Remote Mac Address field.
  • Bridge - Point to Multi-Point - Select this only if this AP is the "Master" for a group of Bridge-mode APs. The other Bridge-mode APs must be set to Point-to-Point Bridge mode, using this AP's MAC address. They then send all traffic to this "Master".
You should specify the MAC addresses of the APs which are allowed to connect to this AP.
  • Station - Infrastructure/Universal Repeater - This mode will turn the access point into a wireless client/repeater.Checked the Allow wireless station to allow wireless client access this point.Enter the wireless SSID and MAC address of the access point whose signal you would like to join or click on Site Survey to see a list of available access points. The Remote SSID is Must, but the MAC address is optional.
  • WDS Repeater - With WDS, the device will communicate ONLY with another Bridge-mode Wireless Station. You must select one AP and enter the MAC address (physical address) of the AP in the field provided..

Multi SSID
SSID
  • If using an ESS (Extended Service Set, with multiple access points) this ID is called an ESSID (Extended Service Set Identifier).
  • To communicate, all Wireless stations must use the same SSID/ESSID.
Broadcast
SSID
If Enabled, the SSID will broadcast its name to all Wireless Stations. Stations which have no SSID (or a "null" value) can then adopt the correct SSID for connections to this Access Point.
Isolation Within SSID If Enabled,Wireless Client is Invisible to each other
